God’s Word teaches that everything we have, even our life, is God’s gift. Therefore, we manage our resources by biblical principles. The bible talks about money more than anyother subject. Why? Because we show the condition of our heart by our checkbook.

A tithe of everything from the land, whether from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord. – Leviticus 27:30

The word tithe means “a tenth part”. Thus, the bible calls us to bring at least 10% of our income to the Temple Storehouse, which today is the church where we worship the Lord. And we give additional sacrificial offerings as the Lord leads.

Online Banking – Bill Pay

Another easy and convenient way to give is to make use of the online bill pay feature that is often available as part of online banking by many banks (you will have to check with your bank to verify the availability of this feature).

 

Gifts of Stock

If you would like to make a gift of stock to Compass Church, please contact the church office for our broker information. For purposes of recording this contribution, we will determine the value of your gift by averaging the high and low trading values on the date the stock was received by the church. Valuation for tax purposes may differ.

 

Gifts to the Building Fund

We need sacrificial giving beyond normal tithing to the ministry budget in order to pay off our debt. Please consider special gifts to paying off our debt – Mark it Building Fund to be sure it serves that purpose.

Records

You will receive a quarterly statement of your giving. At year end a statement of your year’s giving will be mailed for IRS purposes.
