The Coyans
Dan and Krista Coyan joined Compass church in 2001 and in 2004 God challenged them to step out and become missionaries. They sold everything and moved to the Czech Republic in March 2007 and will continue to serve as long as the Lord wills. Their primary ministry is making a Christian presence in an overwhelmingly atheist nation through Bible studies, English teaching, personal relationships, community outreaches, and simply living our lives as Christians.

Recent prayer requests:
Pray for our Bible study, that it will grow and that people will make decisions for Christ. Pray for our Sabbath services, especially that the people who attend will be impacted as we teach about the existence of a real God – something so foreign and “mythological” to the Czech people. Pray for Krista, as she misses her Dad terribly, and feels some guilt that she wasn’t able to be there when he was removed from life support. Pray for our kids, Rebekah and Roxie that they will grow in the Lord, as it is such an atheistic environment here. Pray for our own spiritual growth, which can be really difficult as there are no real churches here for us, besides our home Bible study, which has become our de facto church. Also pray especially for Rebekah’s mental health issues, that God will heal her. Pray for my coworker Tomas, who has so many questions about God. Please pray that we can be a light in our village, and for our new friends Pavel, Martina, Dan, Lucie, and many more.
